* For Red Hat,  you can use disk 1, but others below will work.

* "Live CDs."  You can boot with these, and then chroot to the 
  appropriate environment.


   - Knoppix,  http://www.knoppix.org,  offers a lot of tools.

   - SLAX,  http://slax.linux-live.org, based on slackware,  is small 
     and fast. Module based, you can load as much as you need.
